About Eddie: I'm a dog on a mission. With your help, I'm going to change legislation in the U.S. to make sure chemicals are safe before they're put on the market. Read more or contact Eddie.

It's been an exciting month here at Pets HQ. I've made thousands of new friends, infiltrated an industry event, and together we've taken on the FDA. Not to mention all the great information that's been shared by all of you who've left comments here!
But we've got a lot left to do -- and that includes testing pet food for safety. How much I can test depends on how much money we raise, so I'm depending on all of you!
So, can I ask you a favor? Please take a moment today and tell some friends and their humans about Pets for the Environment and our fundraising efforts. There are just two days left until the deadline! They can donate through the pet food testing campaign or by telling FDA not to put crap in our pet food. Either way, the money goes to the same fund, and the end result is safer food choices for all of us.
Spread the word -- and thanks for your help!

you should keep up the campaigns, I bet more people will donate when they find out what you're doing about testing pet food!
Please keep the fund open for contributions for pet food testing.
Maybe the 1st round was short, but after results from the testing, maybe that will show everybody what EWG & Eddie can do to help... and that will generate more funding..
Reaching out to our vets, our human doctors, companies might help get more funds... I'm certainly going to direct efforts that way.
I surely hope there is more funding heading your way...
Do you have flyers/ posters we could put up at the stores where we shop? There's usually a community bulletin board for stuff... grocer, petsmart, petco, shelter newsleters. etc
at first when i read this i thought that you wanted PEOPLE to test the food, not dogs. it isn't very clear
Fred, Pets for the Environment has partnered with Environmental Working Group to test pet food for safety -- you know, like in a lab with scientists. Those kinds of tests. We raised enough money to get the tests started -- you can read more about our plans here.
