We're gonna test us some pet food!

Humans are funny. Why is it that, when they have a lot of money, they say they're rolling in dough? Personally, I'd rather be rolling in doughnuts. Mmm, doughnuts...

But I digress. Thanks to the support of pets like you and your generous people, we've raised over $16,000 to test pet food for nasty chemical contaminants! We're going to get the ball rolling by testing 10 kinds of pet food for toxic heavy metals like lead, mercury and chromium (read: yuck, gross, and EW!).

More than 2,300 of you told me what kinds of pet food you want tested. I pored and pored over your responses, and let me tell you, it was hard work! Okay, so maybe I had a nap while one of those brainy people at EWG did the math. Anyway, it looks like we'll be testing Iams, Wellness, Hill's Science Diet, Innova, Royal Canin, Pedigree, Purina ONE, and more. Don't see your brand? There's still time to tell me what you want tested!

Thanks, guys, for all your support. I couldn't do this without all my furry, scaly, finned, feathered, and human friends!

I use IAMS dog food. is it safe for my dog? She has eaten IAMS her entire life. I started using the IAMS naturals and just bought IAMS premium protection.. Please let me know. My dogs coat showed a difference when I changed to IAMS Naturals. I dont know much about the IAMS Premium Protection. Thanks. Neil

Good job. We are looking forward to the results. My kitties eat Iams and I eat Wellness.
