Dr. Marty Becker on Good Morning America

We saw this hound dog at the Washington Animal Rescue League on June 13th.

Hey! If you and your pet parents are interested in pet health, you'll want to tune into Good Morning America tomorrow to see Dr. Marty Becker talk about diseases that can be passed between humans and pets. Get the low-down on Dr. Marty's appearance from his daughter, Mikkel Becker, over at the Pet Connection blog.

On March 14th, 2009, both Dr.'s Ron Schultz and Jean Dodds will be speaking together, and all proceeds other than costs incurred will go to RCF. A wonderful chance to see both (which rarely happens:-), and donate at the same time.

Please spread the word with like-minded people, as the hall will hold 300 people. It will be at Rutgers, right off the NJ TPK March 14th 2009 with a continental breakfast, vegetarian lunch and moderated Q and A session. Times will probably be from 9-4 PM.

Raising money for RCF is the ONLY agenda here. We hope to be offering CEU's for DVM's and Vet Techs, and a donation for the layperson probably in the realm of $75.00, amount still to be determined.

There also will be an Ad-Journal with pages going from 5-10K for inside front cover and back covers, 1K for full pages inside the journal, and $500. for a half page. Still in the planning stages, but if you know of anyone who would wish to sponsor, please help us network. We need all the help we can get to raise money to continue the studies being done at University of Wisconsin by Dr. Schultz.

Anyone can sponsor who loves animals and truly wants to have science behind the current laws so there can be change.

I will also be trying to solicit money from the drug companies for donations,, since in the long run, once the duration is proven, it will be in their best interest to look like “good guys".

We are still in the planning phase, but an official announcement will go out soon.

Pass along the website, and info; the more people to get behind these studies, the faster the laws will be changed. You may forward this letter to friends and supporters of RCF.

Our planning website can be found at the bottom of this post.
