Furry Friends for Pets in Condos!

Eddie says: This guest post is by Maida Genser with Citizens for Pets in Condos, an organization that advocates -- well, I'll let her tell you herself!

It is so sad that many thousands of animals are euthanized / put down for no good reason. One of the most preventable reasons is no-pet deed restrictions in condos and other types of association-run housing. Not only would thousands of people lead happier, healthier lives if they could have their own soft, furry companion animals, but an equal number of animals lives could be saved.

Citizens for Pets in Condos wants to see these restrictions replaced by more reasonable pet guidelines. Let responsible pet owners/guardians have their animals and put the onus instead on irresponsible people who do not pick up after their animals or properly take care of them.

Our web page, www.petsincondos.org, has a link to a petition to allow pets (which can be signed online or printed and sent in.) The site also has a wealth of information on the health benefits of having animal companions, legal information including details on the right to have emotional support animals, and condo/HOA reform movement information. It also has samples of reasonable pet guidelines, answers to common pet nuisance issues – and much more. Check it out!

Citizens for Pets in Condos is a 501-c3 tax exempt private operating foundation dedicated to increasing acceptance of companion animals in condos and other types of association-run housing. We educate the public about the health benefits of having animal companions and also advocate for responsible pet ownership/guardianship. Our motto: “creating a win-win situation for both people & pets.”
