There's never been a small, furry animal in my family -- at least, no one smaller than Cleo. Still, I know there are some special rules for taking care of these little fluffballs. Here are a few I turned up.

• Don't use aspen or pine as bedding. They may smell good to us, but the same natural chemicals that make them smell good also make them dangerous for the small and furry members of our families.
